The aviation industry is a new and rapidly advancing industry that is constantly changing. As a result, its development and progress often occur before relevant laws are approved. Therefore, it is necessary to identify and regulate the relationships between aviation industry stakeholders and the associated aviation rights in the best possible way. The aim of this research is to identify the challenges of aircraft insurance recovery in Iran. The research uses a mixed (qualitative) method. Thephenomenological approach was used in the qualitative section, with 15 industry experts selected purposively for in-depth interviews. Data analysis used open and axial coding. In the quantitative section, a structural equation model was used to measure and validate the research model. The statistical population of the quantitative section consisted of insurance and aviation industry experts and stakeholders, with 338 individuals selected randomly as samples. The results show that the emphasis of experts on sanctions, the long lifespan of fleets, increasing groundings for launch, the length of fleet lay-up, discrepancies between insurance companies and central insurance guidelines, discrepancies in accounting, dissatisfaction of insurers and policyholders, the method of declaring and calculating days for insurance recovery, the existence of a regular and informed system for registering, recording, and notifying the period for insurance recovery, the level of confidence in the information provided, accurate calculation of the amount of insurance refund, lack of sufficient knowledge, the absence of a comprehensive database, and lackof specialized personnel for the maintenance and repair are among the most significant challenges in industry.
