Abstract
The present study analyzes the capability of artificial intelligence approaches in predicting investors’ emotional and affective decisions and the financial development of companies. The research adopts an exploratory approach. The study population consists of experts related to the research topic who are active in management and capital market professions. In this context, characteristics such as deep knowledge of macroeconomics and financial markets, proficiency in fundamental analysis, skill in calculating and interpreting key financial ratios, mastery of technical analysis, expertise in portfolio and risk management, and awareness of capital market laws and regulations were considered as the basis for expertise. Accordingly, consulting 18 participants led the researcher to a relative theoretical saturation; however, to ensure greater certainty and fill conceptual gaps, six additional experts were consulted, bringing the total number of experts to 24. Subsequently, through semi‑structured interviews with these experts, seventeen main categories were identified. According to the findings, the Bayesian networks algorithm indicates that the fear component has the highest predictive power, while the regret component has the lowest predictive power regarding investors’ emotional and affective decisions. On the other hand, regarding the financial development of companies, the access to financial resources component shows the highest predictive power, and the risk management component shows the lowest. Other findings indicate that the Bayesian networks algorithm can predict investors’ emotional and affective decisions by about 54% and the financial development of companies by about 58%
